We're thrilled to announce that Western States Events is partnering with Fightcon for an exciting wrestling tournament on October 5th, 2024! Fightcon, renowned for its comprehensive fight sport conventions, brings together the best of the best in various combat sports. This event will feature seminars, demonstrations, and competitions across 10 different disciplines, with the Western States Preseason Championships proudly hosting the wrestling portion. Schedule of Events

ALL WEIGH INS ARE ONSITE AT THE MOUNTAIN AMERICA EXPO CENTER IN SANDY, UT

Friday, October 4th 2024

  • 5:30-6:15pm: weigh ins for all divisions. There will be an optional weigh in for all divisions on Saturday. Please see Saturday schedule for weigh in times. 

*weigh ins should be done in a competition singlet or competition fight shorts and rash guard. No weight allowance for any divisions.

Saturday, October 5th 2024

  • 7:00-7:15am: Optional weigh in. We encourage everyone to weigh in on Friday but this is an option if needed. We will close weigh ins promptly at 7:15am with no exceptions so DON'T BE LATE.
  • 9:00am-12:00pm: 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade, Boys 9th-10th grade
  • 11:00am-1:00pm: Prek-k, Boys 7th-8th grade, Girls Elementary, Girls Junior High
  • 11:00am-11:30am: optional weigh in for HS boys & HS girls
  • 1:15pm-4:30pm: Boys HS & Girls HS

Coaches Bands

With the event being partnered with FightCon, we will not be checking coaches cards, but will be working with officials to ensure that a healthy environment is in place for all participants. Coaches will still need to pay FightCon’s admissions pricing for entrance.

Table help

We are looking for table help each day. The pay is $100 per table and 1 person is required per table. If you are interested in running tables please reach out to Zach Colvin via email at zach.utahwrestling@gmail.com.

Tournament Entry Fee

$45 entry fee, no onsite registration.
